LIVINGSTON, NJ - The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges, a leading non-profit organization serving Bergen, Essex, and Sussex counties, is pleased to announce the appointment of Danny Rosario as its new Chief Financial Officer, beginning April 6, 2026. Rosario was selected following a nationwide search that attracted more than 200 applicants.

Rosario succeeds longtime Metro YMCA CFO Alisa Vural, who recently transitioned to serve as Chief Financial Officer for YMCA of the USA.

In his new role, Rosario will oversee the Association’s financial strategy and operations, supporting the Y’s mission to strengthen communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

“What excites me most about joining the YMCA is being part of a mission that truly changes lives,” said Rosario. “The Y creates a place where young people can grow with confidence and families can feel supported. It’s an honor to contribute to an organization that has such a lasting impact on the community.”

Rosario brings extensive experience in financial leadership, with a background spanning strategic planning, financial oversight, and organizational growth. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer for Spectrum for Living Development, Inc., a nonprofit organization serving adults with developmental disabilities in River Vale.

“Danny brings valuable CFO experience from both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, and his broad perspective will be an important asset as we continue to strengthen and advance our Association,” said Richard K. Gorab, President and CEO of the Metro YMCA of the Oranges. “I am confident that his leadership and expertise will make a meaningful contribution to our continued success.”

Rosario holds a Master of Business Administration from William Paterson University of New Jersey and a Master of Accountancy in Forensic Accounting from Rider University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Ramapo College of New Jersey and has completed executive and professional certificates from Cornell University, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and MIT Sloan Executive Education, with coursework focused on business law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and emerging financial technologies.

Beyond his professional role, Rosario is looking forward to becoming an active member of the Y community. He currently lives in Wayne with his wife, Marji, and their two children, Dahlia (2) and Maximiliano (6 months), and their Bernedoodle, Thor.
