LIVINGSTON, NJ -The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges, a leading nonprofit organization serving Bergen, Essex, and Sussex counties, has appointed Vincent Benjamin, Michael Givner, and Debbie Rittenour to its Board of Directors. The three accomplished professionals bring expertise in business, healthcare, technology, and community leadership, helping to shape the organization's policy and strategic direction as it advances its mission of strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
"We are thrilled to welcome these accomplished leaders to our Board of Directors. Their combined expertise and commitment to service will strengthen our ability to advance the YMCA's mission and Strategic Priorities while helping us meet the evolving needs of the families and communities we serve,” said Richard K. Gorab, President and CEO of the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges.
Vincent Benjamin is a senior commercial executive with more than two decades of experience in enterprise technology and financial services, most recently holding leadership roles at Microsoft, where he helped some of the world’s largest institutions adopt cloud and AI platforms. He began his career with a decade in investment banking and capital markets in New York. A longtime advocate for expanding opportunity, he chaired the board of The Opportunity Agenda, a national policy organization.
Benjamin holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Davidson College. He lives in Montclair with his family and serves on the Y’s Audit and Risk Management Committees.
“The Y meets people at every stage of life, and it does that work in communities my family and I care deeply about,” said Benjamin. “I’m honored to join a board with such a clear sense of mission and committed leadership. Most of all, I look forward to supporting the people who show up every day for kids, families, and seniors across Bergen, Essex, and Sussex counties.”
Michael Givner is the founder and President of IMG Business Advisors, a lower middle-market M&A advisory firm specializing in the sale of family-owned businesses. Prior to founding IMG in 2013, he spent 16 years on Wall Street, primarily with Jefferies Group. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Binghamton University.
Givner has been actively involved in professional and community organizations throughout New Jersey and has held board positions with several nonprofit and professional organizations.
Givner has been a Livingston resident for more than 20 years and has three young adult sons. He is pleased to join the Metro YMCA Board and looks forward to supporting the Y’s mission, particularly its work with young people throughout the community.
Debbie Rittenour is Senior Vice President, Government Programs, and a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, the state's largest health solutions company, serving 3.4 million members. She leads Horizon's Medicare and Medicaid businesses, advancing programs that improve health outcomes, strengthen affordability, and enhance the member experience across the communities Horizon serves.
With more than 35 years of experience in health care and government-sponsored programs, Rittenour has held senior leadership roles at organizations including the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust, Capital BlueCross, Vibra Health Plan, Florida Blue, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Amerigroup, and BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for leading organizational growth, operational transformation, and innovative solutions that better serve populations with complex health care needs.
Rittenour also serves on the boards of Braven Health and eternalHealth, Inc., and advises several health care start-ups. She earned both her undergraduate degree and Master of Business Administration from Robert Morris University. She lives in Harrison.
“Health and community well-being are at the core of much of my work, and the YMCA embodies both. I’m eager to serve on the board and help ensure the YMCA remains a place of inclusion, growth, and opportunity for all in our community,” said Rittenour.
