NEW MILFORD, NJ - New Milford YMCA Program Center, a location of the Greater Bergen County YMCA, recently welcomed four new members to its Board of Managers. The board works closely with the Y’s leadership team to ensure that facilities and programs align with the Y’s mission and remain accessible to all members of the community.
“We’re thrilled to welcome these accomplished professionals to New Milford Y’s Board of Managers,” said Executive Director Jason Kelly. “Their diverse career backgrounds and unwavering dedication to community service bring invaluable perspectives to our leadership team.”
Tresha Gibbs
Dr. Tresha Gibbs, a New Milford resident, is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist and a Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She serves as Clinical Director at the Rockland Children’s Hospital in New York. She is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and has contributed to academic publications as well as delivered lectures on a range of health topics. She was influenced to join the Y board based on her own positive experience with the Y as well as her children’s.
“As a board member, I look forward to working with the leadership team to achieve the Y mission,” she said. “I bring experience in youth development, youth mental health services, administrative leadership and policy making to the board. I also hope to see ongoing collaboration between the YMCA and local youth serving organizations in the area.”
Long Le
Le is a seasoned IT and cloud infrastructure leader with more than two decades of experience spanning data center engineering, cloud architecture, systems administration, and enterprise IT operations. He has held progressively senior roles at organizations such as Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, VirtuIT Systems, Atlas Air, and Manhattan Beer Distributors, where he currently serves as Senior Manager of Information Systems. A resident of Teaneck, he is married and has a daughter and a son.
The Y was central to his childhood, he said, adding: "Accepting this role is a distinct honor, and I am deeply committed to serving the vital work of the YMCA within the Bergen County community. I look forward to leveraging my role to directly contribute to the core pillars of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, and to working in close partnership with the dedicated and accomplished leaders of this board,” he said.
Diane R. Some
Some retired after 35 years as President of Uniform Fashions, which serviced uniforms to Hospitals, Restaurants and their employees. As a longtime member of the Hackensack Regional Chamber of Commerce, Some spent her time raising funds, supporting the business community, and championing causes such as scholarships for high school graduates. After her retirement, she joined Project Literacy and tutored a student in English as a Second Language. A third-generation lifelong resident of Hackensack, her family has always been part of the Y: her son Jason attended youth swim and karate lessons at the Y. He now runs the family business, Some’s Uniforms, on Main Street in Hackensack.
“I am excited to become a part of the YMCA community at this level and hope to make a positive impact wherever it’s needed. I look forward to being part of the Y team,” she said.
Elizabeth (Liz) Tausner
Liz Tausner serves as Director of Communications and Publications at Dwight‑Englewood School, where she oversees brand identity and outreach and guides digital and print communications for the private day school in Englewood. Her background also includes leadership roles in marketing and communications with Target and St. David’s Center for Child and Family Development. The Leonia resident said her three children have benefited from Y experiences that include summer camp, swim lessons and lifeguard training. After witnessing the “profound positive impact" that the Y had on her kids, she wants to help ensure other families can enjoy similar experiences.
