LIVINGSTON, NJ — The West Essex YMCA has received a $12,000 donation from the Kiwanis Club of Livingston, raised through its 2025 Golf Classic and Oktoberfest event. The gift is part of a broader $50,000 commitment from the Kiwanis Club to support the new West Essex YMCA facility currently under development in Livingston.
The contribution reflects a long-standing partnership between the YMCA and the Livingston Kiwanis, rooted in a shared commitment to strengthening the community and supporting youth development initiatives. The new facility will expand access to wellness programs, youth development initiatives, and community resources for residents across West Essex.
“We are honored to be selected as a recipient of the Kiwanis Club’s generosity and ongoing support,” said Cheryl Tuturice, District Executive Director of the West Essex YMCA. “As a community-driven organization, the Y is built on relationships. We value our partnership with the Kiwanis and look forward to continuing our work together to positively impact the greater Livingston community.”
The two organizations have collaborated on a range of initiatives over the years, including the Kiwanis Karnival, support for the Piranhas Swim Team, and emergency child care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The Kiwanis Club of Livingston has a long history of supporting the Y, and we are proud to continue that tradition,” said Russell Ferrara, President of the Kiwanis Club. “We look forward to continuing our partnership and supporting the Y as it prepares to bring its new facility to life.”
The 2026 Kiwanis Golf Classic will be held Aug. 10. Email livingstonkiwanis@gmail.com to get involved in the event.
