Metro YMCA of the Oranges Named a 2025 'Top Workplace'

Metro YMCA of the Oranges Named a 2025 'Top Workplace'

LIVINGSTON, NJ - The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges, a non-profit organization with branches in Bergen, Essex, and Sussex counties, has been recognized as a Top Workplace for 2025 by NJ.com Top Workplaces. This marks the second consecutive year that the Metro Y has received this honor, having also been named a Top Workplace in 2024.

“Being named a Top Workplace in New Jersey for the second year in a row is an incredible honor for our YMCA association,” said Richard K. Gorab, President and CEO of the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges. “This recognition reflects the unwavering dedication and passion of our staff, who go above and beyond each day to create meaningful experiences for our members and participants. We remain committed to cultivating a workplace where every employee feels valued, empowered, and inspired to live out the Y’s mission.” The Metro YMCA employs approximately 1,350 staff members and is one of 98 employers featured on the NJ Top Workplaces list for 2025. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The confidential survey uniquely measures the employee experience and its component themes, including employees feeling Respected & Supported, Enabled to Grow, and Empowered to Execute, to name a few.

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
