Second Sporting Clays Fundraiser Set for Oct. 27

LIVINGSTON, NJ - The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges, a leading non-profit organization serving Bergen, Essex, and Sussex counties, is excited to announce its second annual Sporting Clays fundraising event scheduled for Monday, Oct. 27, 2025 at the scenic Hudson Farm Club in Andover. Attendees can look forward to a variety of outdoor activities, networking opportunities, and fundraising efforts to support the Y’s financial assistance program. 

“We’re thrilled to welcome our community back to Hudson Farm Club in Sussex County for this one-of-a-kind event,” said Richard K. Gorab, President and CEO of the Metro YMCA of the Oranges. “Sporting Clays is more than just a day of sportsmanship and outdoor fun; it’s a powerful way to support our mission. Every dollar raised helps ensure that children, families, and adults in our community have access to life-changing Y programs, regardless of their financial circumstances.”

What to Expect

Participants of all experience levels are welcome and activities are conducted under the guidance of NRA-certified experts. For those not participating in shooting, alternative tournament activities include fly fishing lessons, archery, and shooting lessons with experienced instructors.

Event Schedule

11 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Registration and Luncheon 

1 p.m. - 5 p.m.: Gun safety lesson followed by tournament 

5 p.m. - 7 p.m.: Dinner Reception 

6 p.m.: Live Auction Registration Details Registration is now open for individual tickets at $1,000 each, which covers the full day of activities.

Sporting Clays raises money for the Y’s Annual Support Campaign and will be used to help individuals and families who qualify for assistance in paying for Y programs or memberships.
